NZ Super Payment May 2025 Dates: Get Ahead of the Game If you’re one of the many Kiwis who rely on New Zealand Superannuation (NZ Super) or the Veteran’s Pension , knowing when your money arrives can make all the difference. Whether it’s bills, groceries or just peace of mind, being ahead of the game means no last minute stress.
For May 2025 the payment dates are Tuesday, 6 May and Tuesday, 20 May — both every second Tuesday as usual. These payments cover the previous two weeks and are direct deposited into your nominated bank account.
But May is more than just regular payments. This month also sees the start of the Winter Energy Payment (WEP) — an extra payment to help with heating costs during the winter months. If you qualify this will be added to your super payments mid month.

2025 Pilot: Staggered Payment Days by Birth Month
In 2025 a new pilot has started where payments are staggered across the week based on your birth month :
Birth Months | Payment Day Range |
